CCL Permits

The Gray County Sheriff is responsible for processing all Concealed Carry Applications for the citizens of Gray County.  To qualify, applicants must be 18 years of age and must complete an 8-hour training course with an approved instructor.  A list of instructors can be found on the Kansas Attorney General Website (www.ksag.org/page/concealed-carry).  Once the course is completed, please set up an appointment and bring the following to the Gray County Sheriff’s Office:

  • Completed application
  • 2” x 2” passport type photo taken within 30 days of application
  • Valid driver’s license or Kansas Identification Card
  • Training course completion certificate
  • Fingerprint card
  • $32.50  money order payable to the Gray County Sheriff

Once fingerprints are completed, the fingerprint card cannot leave the sheriff’s office.  As such, the fingerprint card, along with all completed paperwork, will be sealed in the envelope provided and mailed directly from our office.

All payments must be made with certified funds, cash, debit or credit card.
